Hannie Rayson’s On Tour
Playwright and author Hannie Rayson has come a long way since her childhood in East Brighton. She’s become an award-winning playwright with Hotel Sorrento on every school syllabus. She’s been to Hollywood and lived to tell the tale. She’s an author and columnist, observing life and it’s hilarious contradictions. She’s even tried rapping to Fleetwood Mac (more about that later!).
Hannie Rayson is one of the defining voices of Australian theatre, and Gasworks Arts Park is proud to facilitate her tour of Victoria in 2017. From March to May 2017, Hannie takes Hello, Beautiful! to 21 different venues across the state, playing 26 dates.
This is a one-woman show that will tickle your funny bones, engage your grey matter and make you glad to be alive.
Come along and spend an hour with the woman who said “Ask yourself this: have I made the most of this one fleeting life? How disappointing to realise that you’ve lived your life at the pious end of the bell curve.” Enjoy yourself with Hannie Rayson at Hello, Beautiful!
Hello, Beautiful! comes to a Gasworks’ audience in May 2017. Tickets will be on sale soon.
