July E-News

We’re halfway through the year at Gasworks Arts Park and there are no signs of slowing down.

The Kids Holiday Program for winter is in full swing, boasting an exciting line-up of classes and workshops and the acclaimed kids production of The Grimstones – Hatched. A handful of events have already sold out, so we recommend getting in quickly to avoid disappointment!

Gasworks have also just launched our exciting new season of Moving Parts, showcasing three highly energised contemporary performance works. Join us for the acclaimed production of Katherine Thompson’s Diving For Pearls, Donna Jackson’s The Baby Show and our recent Gasworks Circus Showdown Champions, Three High, with their high octane performance, Knock Off. Season subscriptions offer fantastic savings and the opportunity to plan your social calendar ahead of time!

We’re also pleased to announce our anticipated fourth season of Gasworks Morning Music. Featuring a series of three charming daytime time concerts accompanied by a complimentary morning tea before the show, it promises to be our best season yet! Click here to view the full program line-up.

Gasworks’ galleries are also brimming with quality art this month. As part of NAIDOC week (1 to 8 July) Gasworks are proud to showcase the incredible work of visual artist Catherine Van Wilgenburg. Her stunning exhibition The Treaty transposes early European images of Port Phillip with their contemporary suburban landscapes and encourages the viewer to imagine a more intimate relationship with our local natural environment.

Whether you’re dropping in for a coffee, seeing a show, browsing through the galleries or picking up delicious goodies at the monthly Farmers Market, we look forward to seeing you down at Gasworks this month!
