Falling on your feet!

Gasworks is pleased to announce Landed, a selected exhibition of works previously entered into the regretfully cancelled Discovery Art Show.

The Discovery Art Show was unfortunately cancelled. Gasworks, however, felt strongly that the work entered into the show by independent artists should be considered for exhibition and are delighted to mount Landed.

While the Discovery Art Show is unable to proceed, we have received some fantastic entries from independent artists. We have moved forward positively and decided to support many of the artists to exhibit in our galleries in a group show Landed, so we could all land on our feet.

While Landed does not have the award money or scale of the Discovery Art Show Gasworks still has three great gallery spaces, quality art entries from independent artists, and a strong ability and determination to support these artists to show and sell their work.

50 artists selected from entries have submitted two works for showing. 50 works are displayed at any one time with artists able to re-hang their second work after a sale. This means visitors to the show are able to purchase works and take them home with them straight from the gallery wall.

The Education Program planned for the Discovery Art Show will run as scheduled, with artist talks and guided viewings of Landed.

Landed runs from July 16 to July 30. Opening night is July 15, 7pm.  Entry is by donation.
