Science: Digging Dinosaurs

Have a roaring great time as you learn about dinosaurs in this hands-on workshop designed to look at palaeontology and fossil science in a realistic way. Check out a life size replica of the Velociraptor dinosaur skull, come face to face with T-Rex and work like a real palaeontologist. Look at ancient organisms, their traces, relationships & extinction theories. Find out how fossils are formed and how it’s easy to find them on the beach. Feel replica dinosaur skin and compare it with modern animals. Go beyond dinosaurs to look at Australian megafauna. Make casts of ancient creatures to keep and more. Please wear clothes suitable for craft.

For our winter program, we ask that parents and guardians make sure kids BYO a water bottle to any workshop that they attend.
All our workshops are access friendly. If your child has complex needs, they will be expected to attend with their own support worker. No additional charge for support workers.
Gasworks Arts Park is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.
