THE 2019 YEARS 7-12 DANCE PROJECT – ROZVAHA!

St Michael’s has a well-deserved reputation in the field of innovation in dance, with many highly regarded choreographers actively seeking to work with our talented students. Annually, The Dance Project employs the involvement of students from Years 7-12, dedicating themselves to professional opportunities and performance.

This year presents an innovative and new dance work; ROZVAHA, directed by Amelia Jones. The three-piece dance work, will encompass collaborating works by evolved artists, Brittany Page, Peni Waqairatu (OM 2016) and Jack May; whom showcase their distinct talent and wisdom to the students of St Michael’s, through dance.

Rozvaha represents an abandoned amusement park that resulted from an explosion, occurring some years earlier. On the evening of the 50th year anniversary since the disaster, the local community are invited in for one spectacular night only to witness the aftermath. The inhabitants of Rozvaha will deliver a unique experience, for visitors to explore and interact with performers and varying attractions. The wonderful performers will reignite, by taking you on a captivating journey, where the invisible becomes visible and perspectives are transformed. Get ready for Niche Rozvaha (A Night of Entertainment).

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the entertainment unfold at Gasworks Arts Park.
