The Port Phillip Dragon
by Serene Lau

Meet Phil, the recycled patchwork dragon that calls the city of Port Phillip home but has no fixed address. It’s seeking treasure that’s more valuable than gold and that is your idea of what home is! This interactive art installation aims to explores homelessness and affordable housing in the City of Port Phillip by opening discussions to all members of the community about the importance of having a home.

This project is funded by the City of Port Phillip’s Cultural Development Fund and couldn’t be done without support from Auspicious Arts, Sacred Heart Op Shop St Kilda East, Christchurch Community Centre’s Quilting and Patchwork group, South Melbourne Market, Linden New Art, Gasworks Arts Park and Port Phillip Eco Centre.
