Betty was an actor living and working in Melbourne. Mig was an editor living and working in New York. They met briefly in Sydney in the mid ‘80s and became friends. Then they met again coincidentally two years later and made a commitment to each other – to love and care for each other. Three decades later they still do. Betty and Mig wove their lives together through countless letters, moving across different continents with creativity and passion. Love Box is a visual biography of their journey together, in artworks by Wen Shobbrook – Gasworks Resident Artist

This very personal story also played out amidst public attention for Betty’s Prisoner Character, Judy Bryant, who was one of the first lesbian main characters on Australian television.
