Creatures of the Bay

Five local schools have worked together to create a marine environment from plastic litter. The participating schools have collected single use plastic items from our beaches and surrounding streets to create sculptures and artworks to represent our local marine environment. This exhibition raises awareness of the detrimental impact plastic pollution is having on Port Phillip Bay.

Participating schools:
Albert Park College , Albert Park Primary School, St Kilda Primary School, Port Melbourne Primary School, Montague Continuing Education Centre

The ‘Creatures of the Bay’ project is an initiative of the Social Health and Inclusion Port (SHIP) project in partnership with: Starhealth (formerly Inner South Community Health), BeachPatrol Australia, Port Melbourne Icebergs, Port Phillip EcoCentre, Albert Park College, Port Melbourne Primary School and Port Melbourne Uniting Church.

The project is jointly funded by a Port Phillip Community Strengthening Grant Program and Star Health (formerly Inner South Community Health).
