Englishman Ted Powell is delighted to be at Gasworks. Having trained in London he began to explore his true artistic potential on an expedition to the Kimberley Ranges with Clifton Pugh. Like artists before him, Powell fell in love with the brilliant colors of the Outback and the abstract properties of this unique landscape, and used them as a vehicle for this own creative expression. The Outback is a place where his creative soul still goes walkabout and his major works reflect his ongoing affair with his adopted homeland.
