Resident Artist Program
Gasworks studios are available for two year terms that can be renewed at the discretion of management subject to satisfactory performance of collaborative public access projects to benefit the community. Vacancies will be advertised on the Gasworks website with application forms to complete, followed by an interview. Gasworks requires artists to use the space for the majority of their working week and artists are also required to attend organised meetings with management.
Expressions of Interest
Part of the Key Selection Criteria will be based on the applicants’ ability to:
- contribute to park activities
- collaborate on projects with other resident artists
- conduct talks and workshops with members of the public
- present and explain work, equipment and processes to studio visitors
- background and profile as a practicing artist
Preference will be given to artists based in the City of Port Phillip. Expressions of interest for studio consideration will be placed on a register. You can email your contact details to the Visual Arts Manager; please include your preferred studio discipline (i.e.; Sculpture, Visual Arts, Ceramics).
